ABOUT FUNCHESS
Created in 2019 with an initial focus on children, FUNCHESS began its activities in person with playful and relaxed classes involving the teaching of chess associated with English and soccer. With the increase in demand for services, there was an interest in customized English classes for teenagers and adults, where teaching chess was also part of the teaching methodology. In 2020, the idea of the Soccer Debate Club came up after a group of former students were interested in soccer. From that same year, all our courses became online, allowing the expansion of our services to other regions of Brazil and the world. FUNCHESS CANADA is an online learning and liaison program that offers personalized courses for Brazilians of all ages with specific interests. We also provide support in connecting our students to learning, living, and working opportunities in Canada.
Build Confidence
Our mission is to improve our students’ self-confidence and English language skills, in addition to engaging them in international education.
Gain Perspective
Our aim is, in addition to facilitating the learning of the English language, to encourage the development of essential life skills, participation in fun activities and effective communication. We believe the confidence and knowledge that students gain from being involved in our programs can help them face life’s challenges from a new perspective.
Be Creative
Funchess Canada programs offer a differentiated teaching method using chess, soccer, and English as the three pillars of the program. This methodology allows the students to develop their English language skills, critical reasoning, and expansion of knowledge in a cross-cultural context.
